Return Policy
Thank-you for your purchase! Of course we hope that you are happy with your purchase, but if for some reason you are not completely satisfied, you may return your items to the store for an exchange or store credit.
Please see below for more details on our return policy.
In store returns
All returns must be returned within 14 days of purchase date. All returned items must be in new and unused condition, with original tags and labels attached
Return Process
To return an item, in store, please email us first at amy@shopvelvetunderground.com to obtain a return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Without a RMA the staff on shift may not be able to issue a refund on the spot.
After receiving an RMA place the item securely back in the original packaging and including proof of purchase return to the store you purchased your items from to submit to a store clerk for processing.
Exchanges & store credit
The following items are FINAL SALE and can not be returned
- Swimwear
- Lingerie and underwear
- Discounted and sale items
As long as the items meet the above criteria, an exchange for something equal to the value paid on the receipt can be processed or store credit can be issued equal to the value paid on the receipt in the form of a gift card. You will have 1 year from issue to use the store credit.
Please note: store credit and exchange is issued to the amount paid on the receipt. If you purchased an item using a discount of any kind you will receive the discounted amount in credit NOT the value of the full priced item.
Refunds
In the unfortunate event a product was
- Faulty
- Defective
- Damaged at time of purchase
- Not as described
We can issue a full refund within 14 days of the date of purchase.
Please follow the same steps for “returns” to process a refund.
Note: Refunds will be assessed case by case and is up to the discretion of the staff at The Velvet Underground Shop Inc to determine if products meet the requirements for a refund

All online purchases are final sale, unless-
The item is

To return an item purchased from the website please email us at amy@shopvelvetunderground.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and return shipping label before posting items back to us.
